I just listened to 5/8/79 and it cracked me up.
Also, about If You Were My Love-There is a reel from 3/10/81 with Waddy and Jimmy Iovine talking to each other in the begining. It doesn't sound anything like the Mirage Version nor the tropical SA version. So it would appear that this song was in consideration for Bella Donna. Pity it hasn't made it on to a record yet. |
You know, it could be tape drag. It's hard to tell with Stevie somtimes.
I never much cared for If You Were My Love, except for the version you mentioned recorded 3/10/81. That one is really nice.
