I understand completely. I've gotten so much shiz from my family about it too...that and marriage/kids. LOL My grandmother doesn't drive either. Yes, she's in her late 70's, but my OTHER grandmother does drive and is fine. The thing is, is that my mother's mom drove into a telephone pole back in the day, and never drove again. LOL It's in my genes, I think. Heh.
That's only one reason I'd love to live in London....take the friggin' subway/tube/underground or walk (yay, I lost so much weight that wya. LOL).
