So I've been practicing on my dog in the house with the different settings  Luckily he doesn't mind getting his picture taken.

That is soooo funny!! Actually the photos I took last night I did use flash and I had way better results than last time.... I just can't keep the camera still without the flash..... we were in the first row so heads weren't an issue..... On the other hand--me forgetting to zoom in on the first like 10 pix was an issue
I got a kick out of your post though because I practiced like crazy on my cats this week!! Unfortunately my cats don't move as fast as Stevie
And the thing that really ticked me off is that I couldn't take a blurry picture at home using the automatic mode--yet they were still blurry at the show--I don't get it...... unless its because I was so excited like I said and forgot about the focus lock
So that would be my one little tip--don't forgot about the focus lock!!! But when you are trying to hide a camera it is hard to be able to just take your time.......and when it comes to Stevie and front row my brain just kind of went numb--seriously!! I knew that camera like the back of my hand but I almost forgot how to turn the darn thing on when I actually got there!! And then I was just clicking away--so slow down and think a little bit about what you are doing!! ha ha Of course then you miss half the shots like I did. And you know--I was all ready for the Stand Back kick--had her on the LCD screen--was ready to click and then--ARGHHHH!!! She moved out of my frame
So I missed it!! Stevie actually moves around a lot--very figgety like--but she was beautiful last night
