Up until Mellon Collie (which is such a stupid title) they were great!
Then Corgan got too self-indulgent.
Their last album was called Machina: The Machines Of God
I mean, honestly.

Corgan is such an idiot. He was slagging off Zwan the other day, saying that he let others come in and ruin his music, but that one album was a hell of a lot better than the music he's making now, or even the last few Pumpkins' albums. It's disrespectful to the people who worked hard on that record.
Billy played London recently and I found this review in The Guardian very amusing.

Watching them standing at their stylised music stations wearing quaint techo-goth costumes was like stumbling into a Depeche Mode gig from 1988, except shorn of the hits and silly PVC hotpants. The wall of tiled lights behind them, flashing up shifting shapes and colours, suggested we were trapped in an enormous urinal."
