my mom's name is Carol--she got Lora from spelling her name backwards. Hell, it was the 60's--I am lucky she did not leave it Lorac!! 
3) Do you like your name?I like it now but hated it when I was young. My dad wouldn't let my mom name me Lorelei---but I have been using Lorelei ever since The Styx song came out and my mom said-" hey,I almost named you Lorelei or Claudia" Egads I am glad she didn't choose Claudia
