I once skipped a coworker's wedding for a Stevie concert!
If we were friends it would have been different but when I was new to the department she and the boss were very cliquey and not so nice to me. We did get to know each other and become friendly but I never forgot that awful cattyness. I told her I had a prior engagement but someone told her that I went to see Stevie!
I'm sure she is over it and now that I don't work with her, guess what? I never see her, just as I suspected would happen.
