What would you like her to do? I think the real issue lies in comparisons. Stevie 2003/2004 vs. Stevie circa 1977, or even 1987, or even 1997. Stevie 2003/2004 vs. Lindsey 2003/2004 (who, I agree, acted like a spazzed out child having epileptic seizures). If the both of them had acted like that on stage, they would have looked ridiculous.
In Vegas, Stevie had a
lot of energy. I think she might possibly have held back a lot with FM during SYW for the sake of Lindsey taking the spotlight. Mind you, he went over the top with that spotlight, but still.. I really don't know if he
does eat too much chocolate, drinks 10 cups of coffee a day or is just naturally hyper, but in taped shows I've seen from earlier days, he wasn't nearly that crazed.
The one thing I wish Stevie would do with FM is to be more interactive with the audience. I really don't give a sh*t if she can do the high kicks anymore, but it would be nice if she acknowledged the crowd a little more. That's my only constructive piece of advice for her. Otherwise, I thought her performances rocked. If someday she gets out there and does the splits for us, well, I'll be even happier.
