I downloaded that version just out of curiosity, because I knew the song was dropped, and was amazed--her intensity in that one is just killer. She has this low, focused tone thing going on, and you're completely right about the "nothing ever changes" rhythm--it's not exactly the same twice, and it's because of how she's controlling it, not because she's bored or tired, like she sometimes seemed to be on other stuff.
I'm not sure if she ever did that again; she definitely hasn't on the other "Rhiannons" I know from that tour. Don't know if that helps or not.
