I second Deanna's sentiment. The girl has no class. That's probably the main reason I dislike her.

Didn't she take years of vocal lessons to perfect the control of her voice and then start playing around and showing off as she does in many of her songs? I think it shows. It's one thing to have that range but to know how to use it is difficult.

Well, that's what my choir teacher always said in high school. Learn how to sing well (or as well as you're capable of singing) and control your voice, then you can play around like Mariah Carey, who can do it all. My choir teacher, who was pretty rigid about the "right way" to do things, admired Mariah quite a bit.
