I can't stand Jim Carrey either, but seeing him in Lemony Snicket's was something I knew I'd have to endure - whereas Law was an unpleasant surprise.
As for Kevin Spacey, I wouldn't say he's one of my favorite actors, but I like him.
Actors I can't stand - Tom Cruise, John Wayne, anyone from American Pie (except Eugene Levy, who I adored in A Mighty Wind), Ashton Kutcher, ****bait (Orlando Bloom), Jackie Chan, any of the action heroes - Seagal, Arnold, Stallone, Norris, etc., Adam Sandler, Mike Myers (except as Shrek), David Spade, Rob Schneider, Chris Tucker, Chris Rock (though I did enjoy him as the voice of Rodney the guinea pig), Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, John Travolta, Michael Douglas, and Val Kilmer (except in The Doors and Tombstone). I know there's more but those are some off the top of my head.
