What said then and say now is I think as she was writing it about the movie (which obviously moved her), she thought in that romantic head of hers that "gee this story is similar to my relationship with Mick." The reason I think that is because she said as much on the Timespace liner notes  How are those two ideas inconsistent? The song can be about the movie and a little bit about how she sees her relationship with Mick. If they cannot be about both, then I am waiting for that explanation. |
