She did?
If it wasn't for her hooking with Buckingham in the first place, she wouldn't have gone anywhere. Would have been just another Californian singer-songwriters trying to eat. He's the one who forced Fleetwood Mac to take her and that little act of kindness is what gave her her career.
Did she have more name recognition in 1996 compared to him? Hell yes. Was the general public chomping at the bit to see him in 1996? Hell no. Was the general public chomping at the bit to see her in 1996? Hell no. Point being, they were both has-beens. Their meal ticket had been collected years earlier and they both needed each other equally to come back into the spotlight. I never once said he picked her career up from the ashes because they did that for each other. That's my opinion, take it or leave it.
