And history demonstrates they do. I mean look at Vanderbilt Hospital, the Morgan/Whitney Foundations, the Gates Charitablle trust, and many many more. All of those provide charity to millions daily. Interestingly, they also support the arts, which is a charity in many ways (the arts are for everyone, art/music can act like a tonic, etc. )
