Seriously, I think time oput only goes so far and corporeal punishment should rarely if ever be used. I mean I do not spank my Scotties and use my voice to punish them. So, I cannot imagine spanking a child. |
I hate too permissive parenting much more than spanking. Although, I don't approve of hauling off and whacking your kid everytime you feel like it. But your kids should be a little afraid of you, or at least afraid of consequences. Not that spanking is the perfect way, of course. I mean, whatever the consequences are, they should be consistent, and painful to the child. (not necessarily physically painful).
