That's right... Cuckoo's Nest!! That's the same time period I used to go there. It was WILD! Too bad they tore the place down. I lived in the apartments on Sunflower by the South Coast Plaza. Those were fun times. I used to hang out at McConahay's on the other side of SCP when they had KROQ parties. Richard Blade and Rodney Bingenheimer would DJ. They also had parties at Kingdom of the Dancing Stallions in Buena Park and Old World near Huntington Center. Lots of hairspray, black clothing and the smell of clove cigarettes wafting thru the air. Your old roommate must really love it there also. Last time I was at SCP was a hot summer day in '97 (I was in town for HS reunion) - that place was CRAWLING with people.
