I think he owned the firearms; he said he was unaware of the US laws regarding licenses etc; otherwise he would have complied. He did pass the lie detector test that he had no knowledge of the cocaine in his house, (although his wife tried to flush the stuff so apparently
someone knew it was in the house LOL.) I don't think she had to take a lie detector test... But I believe John could have been deported if things did not go well.
Those charges are very different (and much more forgivable IMO) from what is going on in the MJ case.
