I totally agree. I know this thread is about "Fleetwood Mac" albums, but I must say that "Go Insane" has to be one of the most brilliantly produced albums I have ever heard. I cannot even begin to imagine how he went about creating all of those textures using only analogue equipment of 1983/4. Even with the latest digital technology a professional music producer would find it pretty hard to replicate all the subtle parts which happen in each song. The only (famous) band which were experimenting using similar musical techniques to those found on "Go Insane" at the time were Depeche Mode, who have always been famous for being "state of the art of electronica". A while back a friend of mine, who incidently is a big fan of Depeche Mode, heard the "Go Insane" album and his first response was "Being in Fleetwood Mac must be so suffocating for Lindsey!" I thought that was quite.....what's the word I'm looking for..........ah yes.......TRUE.
