I think you misunderstood what I meant. The people being taken for the ride (savvy longtime fans) are the ones who
do have a connection to the band and don't realize the fans who want to get close to and befriend them are really
only interested in who they might know and what that might mean to them in terms of information or access to industry or band members. Hope that clarifies it.

The word crazy when it comes to fans is very subjective, there's all kinds of crazy. Like you said in your other post, there's ten kinds of crazy floating around out there in FMland and one person's crazy is another person's gospel truth
