I did not take EJ's words as too harsh as opposed to a statement of reality and, in some ways, a commentary on EJ's life prior to coming out. I personally like EJ's willingness to state his mind even though I may not agree with him or even like him as a person. I think the world needs more people saying things like this - though perhaps in softer tones.

Um, well hindsight is 20/20 and he was just stating the obvious. Of course GM wouldn't have been caught in the rest area if he had come out, duh. But obviously there was plenty of pressure for him NOT to come out which Elton should understand, IMO.
