hate to say this but I think Coutler-geist was right on the following:
"Churchill has gone from claiming he is one-eight Indian "on a good day" to claiming he is "three-sixteenths Cherokee""
How can someone be "three-sixteenths Cherokee"? You can only be "full blooded", "one-half", "one-quarter", "one-eight", "one-sixteenth", "one-thirtysecondth" & finally "one-sixty fourth" (Any less than "one sixty fourth" and you're not recognized as being Indian according to BIA statutes).
Three sixteenths is physically impossible when "Degree of Indian Blood" is only divisable by two/half drop per generation (A CDIB's, Card of Degree of Indian Blood, will tell how much Indian blood you have).
