It's not so much that it's because they're Muslims, it's that the United States sees nothing to gain from helping them. If they don't benefit, they want nothing to do with anything. Look at Sudan. We did nothing there to stop the genocide. Look at the dozen other police countries around the world other than Iraq. For Bush and his administration to even claim that we were invading Iraq to free the people is beyond absurd. What do you tell the citizens of the other police states like, as you pointed out, Uzbekistan? That you're sorry you can't help them because they don't have enough oil or because helping them couldn't have won you the election? It's sick.
