My grandma made Mexican food when I was growing - but I didn't like it (granted I never even tried it) - I wouldn't even eat beans...
Actually I STILL don't like beans...
And so when my family would go out to eat at Mexican restaurants - I'd get a hamburger - if we were going somwhere with no burgers - my mom would actually get one for me elsewhere to eat at the Mex place
For years I judged Mexican restaurants by the quality of their hamburgers
