Also, are you sure that The Chain isn't played in DADGBD tuning? I'm pretty sure the high is dropped down to D as well... when you watch him, he seems to be hitting both that string and the B string during the guitar solo, in the beginning when he alternates between the C and D notes on the 1st and 2nd frets of the B string, and I just don't see how that would sound right in standard tuning; plus, in the beginning when he does the little riff that goes high all of a sudden up at the 6th fret on the top string, which would only sound right in open D tuning:

I don't know, I'm not really an expert, but that's how I play it and it sounds pretty much like what he does and it looks like what he's playing (although he may be hitting the 3rd fret B string rather than an open D).
World Turning is great that way, too, BTW. It's dead on in that tuning.
