Because they had so little in the way of real material possessions, their families were the core of their universe. To think that entire families were wiped out is too much for many of them to bear, I am sure. Unimaginable grief. |
Hi Heather! Great photos, and I think it's so great that you volunteered and helped them out as you did. I always feel such sadness and pain for the children there, or in any country where there is hardship for them...they are too young to understand why, and that just breaks my heart.
I'm glad there are people like you there to make them smile and make life a little easier for them.
