One of my good friends at school has three ferets, and I just can't bring myself to really like them. I want to like them just for her, but I try and try and it doesn't work. I'll go to a pet store and attempt to look at the ferrets fondly but I get turned off because 1) they stink, 2) they look like long-ass rats to me, and I think of rats as dirty, 3) some people I know say that ferrets are "hick pets"

EDIT: Just thought I should add that despite the fact that I've heard that hick comment, I DO NOT think either my friend or Nicki is a hick at all! I just wanted to clear that up because I didn't want to say something mean like that.

I'm thinking, Damn, Hillary, was it worth it to type this post if you're going to be so self-conscious about it?
