I should put myself on a budget, too, I've been meaning to for years. But I see it as this is money, it's meant to be spent and I'm not taking it with me.
I think it has to do with being so frugal for years and years during college that now when I get money in my pocket, I want to spend it instantly. When I first got the job I have now, I went out and maxed out my $5,000 credit limit on a card in only three hours. Boy, did I kick myself as I opened each thing I bought.
