Personally, I still feel that she's not "clinging" to anything, but rather she has evolved her stage persona in a way which retains elements and aspects of "Classic Stevie Nicks," but which deeply reflects where this 56 year old woman is in her life at this particular moment.

Just as they always have, her stage performances reflect her current life. There was a time when her life was crazy and out of control, and her stage performances reflected that. These days, she's older, wiser, more mature, and more reflective. She's also not as thin as she once was, she has aches and pains, some physical limitations, and just plain isn't as mobile as she used to be... but she's still up there on that stage relating her life experience to us.

She's not Cher or Tina Turner or anyone else -- she's Stevie Nicks. And this is Stevie Nicks' life at this moment, as she continues to adapt to growing older, and works through making her peace with that.

I think it's pretty cool that she's still allowing us to go along with her on the journey, rather than disappearing from the public eye for six or seven years while she goes through "the change" in private.

As always, some fans want to go along for the current ride, while others would rather sit this one out.

That's just my 2 cents.
Yeah, that song's already been sung, just like my song has already been sung.
