Recording songs the way you like them doesn't make them good.
I like TISL a lot, I think it was a great comeback vehicle for her solo career. As with every album, there are things that drive me nuts because of their sheer mediocrity, but I think
her material was strong enough to make the record rather resillient in that respect. The title track still astounds me with every listen, it's perfection.
However, I hope that on the next record they don't screw with her vocals so much. The metallic feel to them on TISL is a
very acquired taste.
