While it is possible he may have added it to appear cultured, it still remains a beautiful song

I just love it because I sang it a long, long, long, long time ago and actually did it some credit, although no where near the credit it deserves, etc. I mean I think the Flower Duet from Lakme is overplayed but that cannot take away from its alarmingly beautiful nature
