It's no fluke, Warner Brothers doesn't copy protect their DVDs.
They haven't for over a year. Back in '02, they released Harry Potter without Macrovision because they figured that big titles like that would sell no matter what and if people wanted a pirated copy, they'd just download it anyway. Eventually, they just decided to can Macrovision because they had to pay them a royalty of five cents for every disc sold. So, next time you rent something that's a Warners title, make a copy for yourself.
Edited To Add: MGM, Anchor Bay, and Columbia Tristar (Sony) don't copy protect either.
