It's clear that many don't have any understanding of the Bible - either academically or otherwise...so it's pointless to argue or try and defend something that people are so opposed to anyway...it's just my way of life - I'm happy with it, it makes me happy, I don't expect everyone to live that way though....and don't think anyone is stupid, deluded or vile for not believing or living the way I do...

no, i understand your point. But again it circled back to why do you believe
that part of the bible when either you don't believe all of it, or that much of it is, uh...reprehensible? If some parts aren't true or right, why do you think others are? I guess is my point with that.
But i mean, i don't really think you can answer that, except by saying what you've already said...
