Yay! We used to show our dog, AJ (a Gordon Setter; Holly Hollow's Tale of Suspense), and he was getting pretty close to getting titles, etc.
Our dog, Tyler (Gordon Setter, too), only has hunting titles. There's no way he'd be a show dog. Our dog Riley's (surprise, Gordon Setter'D!) worthy to be a show dog, but he's waaayyy to stupid. Poor guy.
Unfortunately, I was getting ready to head out to the bus in seventh grade (October 17 2000

) and AJ was eating his food next to me (he was REALLY protective over it). The lights were off, of course, and I hear him growling and I dart to the corner of the room and he ends up biting a 1/2" chunk out of my right leg. Tons of stitches for that one.
After that, we decided that maybe we should send him back to the breeder, since she knew how agressive he could be (she & my mom & dad were friends). A few months later, we find out AJ bloated and they tried to get him to an emergency vet, but apparently no one would take him.
It's really a shame, because he was a great dog even though he was really agressive at times. Like if he was downstairs and it was dark (which it always is in this house, since there are never any lights on -_-), you'd have to call his name at the top of the stairs first before you could walk down them or he'd growl and possibly go after you. :\
