Sarah
Went to see Sarah McLachlan in Manchester UK a couple of nights ago and she was amazing. Traffic down was horrendous (note to self - remember to set off a bit earlier when travelling on a Friday afternoon!!!!), missed my tea at the Hard Rock Cafe, had to go straight to the venue!!!
Everybody was flocking to see Butterly Boucher, Sarah's support, but i deceided to spend the time in the bar instead!
Started to feel the anticipation though, a few minutes before she came on stage. Sarah is amazing and was really mind - blowingly great. Don't think she expected such a fantastic reception, but she got it anyway!!!
Highlights for me were, Fallen, Possession, Train Wreck, Perfect girl, One true thing, Silence (don't really think this song reflects SM's music, but she knew that this may be the only song some of the audience members would know - in fact, she took some kind of lights off an audience member and started to dance like she was in a club!!)
Angel, of course, finished the show, and made me think so much, of Stevie - to me, this is Sarah's Landslide - how big a compliment could you give an artist!!!
I really have taken AFTERGLOW seriously after seeing her, when you listen to the album, it may sound samey (listen to the songs individually though and you get a different take on them!)
Hope others get to see this amazing artist Live- cos she really is FANTASTIC!
(Reminds me of Stevie when she was young and also as a songwriter!)
