Haha this is very true. I bet half of them wouldn't know the difference if he introduced it that way
But I do think that if they did Miranda (or even Destiny Rules or Everybody Finds Out) rather than Peacekeeper as the first new song, the crowd would warm up to the 'new song' slump a lot better. It's a double whammy when they mention new album and then go through PK, which just lags. I doubt we'll ever hear it live again.
As for the 'fluff' issue with IKINW - I think they only did that because it's so early in the set list. I think Lindsey didn't necessarily want to give up/trade Eyes of the World, and so he realized he needed to amp up IKINW as a really energetic third song if he was going to replace it. If it were later in the set, I bet it'd be toned down but right now it's the 'keep people on their feet' song. That's why I'd prefer it much later on in the show.
