I've known her first with the actual voice, then gone backwards, and personally the intensity she has now blows me away
. There are so many some strong or crystal voices that I can admire technically but don't communicate me anything, while Stevie's recent voice strikes me hard everytime.There's all her life written in it, and amplifies so powerfully the emotions of her songs.
By the way, I love the HOB version of The Chain too. Not my favourite, but it's great!
