Do we all have to get into the voice preservation argument again?! Stevie can still sing in other registers , but I think it's obvious she has to take great care in not shredding her voice like she used to. I don't think it's hard to understand that she has to make it a priority (and I imagine it must be frustrating to her as well)...singing is her life and she can carry on in a little different way or she can quit. This is also someone who would, I'm sure, find it devastating to lose her voice permenently even if she retired from the stage...she loves to sing at home too! I realize the remedy is too much for some of you to take, but I think she's done a good job of coming up with creative new stylings in the lower register for many of her songs (Rhiannon, GDW ending, etc.)

Some songs that were recorded in a higher key just cannot be sung night after night without taking their toll on the singer. "Come" is another example. I love the rehearsal segment in Destiny Rules where Lindsey jokes about keeping it in the original key and interjecting lip synched bits where he cannot reach the notes.
