I'm glad that if any Stevie song won it was Storms because it's her best song ever, but even die-hard FM fans don't appreciate the spirit of the album from what I've seen in this game. They automatically toss out anything that is a little weird and experimental and then latch onto the most commercial songs for dear life. It boggles me how crap like Angel stayed around for so long, while brilliant stuff like SMAP, WATL, WMYTYTO, and Not That Funny was kicked to the curb almost instantly.
Yeah, it's all subjective, but honestly, the majority of you guys don't like the weird or experimental stuff unless it's Stevie talking about moons and sisters and intense silence and ghosts in fogs. And even then, you're still sticking with the safest songs. Stevie isn't a risk taker, even when the whole album was about taking risks. Even Christine indulged a bit. But that's all I'll say.  |
So you call Angel, in your opinion crap, while IKINW and SMAP masterpieces. thats your opinion. its not that ppl dont like the fact that lindsey likes to experiment, but the end result is what people hear, and if it doesnt sound nice to ones ears they may not like it. to say ppl go for the more commercial songs, its just their opinion of what they like. I will say that tusk is the total opposite of the Rumours feel, but to say that he is so experimental as to say "weird" I wouldnt use that word. To me thats just an excuse to label why someone may not like a Tusk , lindsey song. then to state ppl only vote for the wierd, mystical songs of stevies, thats just not so. i can appreciate, something thats out there and different but to say that his stuff is way out there , may be compared to rumours, within fleetwood mac, but not in the grand scheme of things.
