I don't think he was stoned. I think he was just appalled at the general trashiness of the event & the violence of the film itself. So in his brief exchange with Mark Goodman, he acted like a bit of a jerk: "It was a gaaaas, man ... a gaaas."
Then he said, "Meanwhile I'll stick to what I know, which is music" -- an obvious little dig at Prince.
The whole thing was a perfect example of Lindsey's feeling alienated from the Hollywood premiere crowd. He doesn't know how to act in such a setting: Should he act mature & risk standing out oddly, or should he pretend to "get with it" & hang loose? What's interesting is that both Lindsey & Stevie had essentially the same reaction to the film: too much kinky sex & violence. They were both uncomfortable watching it. Stevie apparently told Prince she didn't like the scenes of women being hit in the film, & this started some sort of rift between them.
Goodman closed by asking him whether there was anything Lindsey wanted to say about the immediate future plans of Fleetwood Mac. "Not a thing."
