The funny thing is, even dissention himself says it's not the song he hates... he just doesn't like the album version.
Fair enough.
But if the song itself isn't a total wash... just this version... then why all of the animosity towards it?
How far off from the live versions is the album track, really, that it's impossible to see any merits?
It's certainly not as distinctive of a difference as that of songs such as "I'm So Afraid," "Not That Funny," and "Rhiannon."
So why is a song that's apparently enjoyable live... in an arrangement not very far off from the album version at all... suddenly so woefully dreadful on the album? And in comparison to nineteen other songs no less?
It's personal opinion, of course... and there's nothing wrong with that.
But it does seem a little off-balance to me, all things considered.
