A story leaked out last month about fundraising and currently, there are two federal indictments; one against fundraiser David D'Amiano (the document mentions McGreevey 80+ times) and another not directly implicating him but implicating his top fundraiser Charles Kushner, another top fundraiser who was once McGreevey's nominee to head the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Democrats have been itching to get him out because as I said, he's made a mockery of his position and the NJ Democratic party with his non-stop headline making scandals. Corzine and Andrews are jumping at the chance to be governor and honestly, I think Andrews would do a damn fine job.
Watching coverage and hearing various politicians speak, It seems as though everyone knows a lot to this story than we do and I think they all know what else is coming. Not to mention, we've done the acting governor before and let's just say, didn't turn out so well. As of this moment, he still isn't stepping down and I don't think he will. I want to see a ballot with both democrats and republicans and I want to make a choice of who I want in office...not some guy that's been affiliated with the governor since he's been in office that won't be nominated by his party to run for governor in 05'. We don't need to be dug into the mud any further.

I think what people are trying to get at is that instead of using what he actually did as governor (his policies, his corruption, etc.) against him, they're going to use his homosexuality and alleged rape against him as an example of why gays are so "evil" and try to weasel themselves into his position that way.
Based on what you've posted and what I've heard about the guy, he was a ****ty governor and comes across more as an opportunist than a public servant. So, I think his detractors on the right should use those things against him and not try to make him an example of sexuality gone awry that will only pander to their base and desensitize the public to even more gay hate rhetoric.
