If that were the case, then I'd support Bush. Right? Johnny, you're no longer making sense.

As I said before, the one and only thing you ever point to in regards to why you feel Kerry is "as bad as Bush," is that he voted for the War In Iraq.
|
John Kerry in 1971:
"[T]here is nothing in South Vietnam which could happen that realistically threatens the United States of America. And to attempt to justify the loss of one American life in Vietnam, Cambodia or Laos by linking such loss to the preservation of freedom is to us the height of criminal hypocrisy, and it is that kind of hypocrisy which we feel has torn this country apart."
Kerry in 2004:
"I defended this country as a young man and I will defend it as president."
In 1971, Kerry said he hoped that in 30 years Americans would look back and appreciate the courage of vets who opposed the war as a moment when "America finally turned" away from the lies and toward justice. So far in the past 18 months he has voted for another criminal war, then voted against funding it, distanced himself from the comments he made in opposition to Vietnam and draped himself with the cynical flag of patriotism by parading the memory of a war he opposed so adamantly

Aren't there millions of other issues beyond that one tiny little thing? Why are those so easily ignored or glossed-over?

I can turn that around on you. You said ultimately you'll vote for Kerry for the one issue of gay marriage. Your words. I could go dig them up. Aren't there millions of other issues besides that one tiny little thing?
And besides, the "tiny little thing" to which you refer has left thousands and thousands of people needlessly dead. That may be a "tiny little thing" to you, but it's a huge thing to the families of the American soldiers who were killed, those who've been maimed and the many thousands of Iraqis killed and injured.

And if fear isn't a problem for you... than why do you fear having a democrat in the White House? What's scarier about that for you, than having Bush in there.
|
Quote me back where I've ever said that we'll be better off if Bush is reelected. I challenge you.
All I am doing is using the same rationale Kerry used in 1971: "To attempt to justify the loss of one American life in [Iraq] by linking such loss to the preservation of freedom is to us the height of criminal hypocrisy, and it is that kind of hypocrisy which we feel has torn this country apart."
