I watched the entire DNC on C-Span, pretty much gavel to gavel. They did a great job. One of my favorite performers was Carole King. Wow! I will also watch the RNC on C-Span. You see so much more on C-Span. But these conventions . . . it's not quite the same "party". I suspect the only music that will be played during the RNC is patriotic music as most of rock and roll (that music in particular) is associated with the DNC. Maybe some country? Maybe a little bit of Wayne Newton and "Dankeshein".
I don't know how true it is, but I read that Lance Armstrong has Republican leanings and Sheryl is clearly Democratic. Sort of a Mary Matlin/James Carville thing. Should be interesting to see what musical and political responses occur at the RNC. Gotta love what the DNC did for Fleetwood Mac.
