I just want to clarify my country comment. If you look back, I suggest the Jayhawks are simply more country than most acts than pass for country these days, I realise they are a rock act. Their approach is more akin to Hank Williams then the likes of, say, LeAnn Rhimes or Garth Brooks.

I maintain their approach is more like CCR's, though not quite as good. Look up CCR; they were big in the 60s. Great stuff too: Proud Mary. Who'll Stop the Rain. Run through the Jungle. Fortunate Son. Bad Moon Rising. Great stuff.
