The whole movie was just a smut-fest and made you want to take a shower after watching it. The nudity came off as more of an act of desperation to save her career than anything else and it backfired completely. Though the nudity can't be totally blamed (Mark Ruffalo ran around bare ass throughout the whole thing, too, and his career is on fire as of late), a lot of it had to do with her bad acting in it and the overall badness of the whole shebang. It was just bad.
Read the book, don't see the movie. The movie is just porn with actual graphic closeups of oral sex.
