If you'll scroll back up you'll see that my original comment that got you all riled up was and the context of my post:

"If this is about doing everything possible to make Stevie look more successful financially than Lindsey than no amount of quotes are going to prevent this discussion from being spun in that direction"

From there you brought up hyper-sensitivity, jumping to conclusions and your amusement that some fans seem to have a problem when someone puffs Stevie up.

I am not trying to start anything over the slapping incident, I brought it up to make a point. Did you think the original poster was trying to start anything a few months ago when they opened that thread with that topic and FIRE AWAY? It would have been understandable if a new poster or fan was curious about the topic and started that type of thread. But when a seasoned poster starts the thread with no opinion of their own but wanting input from others in the form of FIRE AWAY, I think they're trying to start something. I'm not the only one who thinks this way but if you don't, that's your opinion. I'm entitled to mine and I'm entitled to call them on it when I see a pattern of the same thing over and over again no matter how big a fan they say they are.

Some fans just are drawn to it and can't help themselves from bringing up anything negative to tarnish the other member just a little more.
Trust me, I cringe whenever I see those types of threads, too. With no offense meant to anyone, I absolutely hate the "Who's your favorite/least favorite" types of threads, or the "Who's the better songwriter," etc., etc., and I'd rather we found other topics of discussion.

I readily admit that I enjoy a good debate... it keeps things lively... but I can't see anything positive coming out of those particular types of threads.

I can't lie and say that I'm not a bit biased towards certain members. I have my favorites, and there's no way around that (for anyone keeping score, it's Stevie first, followed by Lindsey, followed by Christine. Then Bob Welch & Peter Green, next Rick Vito, then Danny Kirwan, and so on), but I still prefer to think of them as "team-mates" rather than rivals, and it sucks that they're so often pitted against each other.

Still, I didn't get a vibe from Jason's posts that he was somehow trying to bash Lindsey, or pit Lindsey and Stevie against each other in some sort of "who has the bigger toys" type argument.
Your statement that that's what he was doing, seemed undeserved to me, and that's why I felt the need to comment.

We're on the same side, Cour.
