As a matter of fact, I was stung today too. By a bumble bee, right down from the left butt cheek...
It hurts like hell. It's swole up the size of a softball and man does it itch!!! I haven't been stung for years, since i was a pip squeak. I was seeding and mulching a yard. After I went back at it, here one comes again. He was flat pissed, chasing me around, i was sqealing, it was probably a funny site. My husband come over to see what all the comotion was and found a nest of 5 or 6, I guess we disturbed their nest.
