How could I forget Annie Lennox ? Her output as a solo artist has been slow as molasses, but that first album, man oh man.
Annie Lennox
Album - Diva
Song - Legend In My Living Room
This song contains one of my favorite stanzas EVER.
"So I shed my tears in bitter drops
Until the thorn trees bloom
To pluck the spiky fruit
And crown myself the Queen Of Doom."
Sheer ironic cynical brilliance !
