About Lindsey not playing...Just watch any of the SYW tour bootlegs on VHS/DVD and you can see a few times through each show were he is concentrating on the vocals more than the guitar and Neal & Carlos are there picking up the slack.

What's ALD/IEM?

This debate on how much Lindsey is playing is interesting to me. I don't know if he did anything differently from usual at Jones Beach, considering how far he was from the audience, but it seemed to me the pawing of the guitar by the audience happened only once and it was very brief.

As far as what he plays when singing, I really didn't notice any difference from previous tours. For instance, when you watch the Mirage video, his playing is pretty minimalistic when he is singing. This is quite common actually, because playing leads and riffs while singing is incredibly difficult, and seriously, I marvel at people like Lindsey who can actually pull it off.

As I said, I often looked back to the backup guitarists and the only times I noticed they were doing something more elaborate than chords and occasional riffs were during Stand Back, Come and Peacekeeper. Now, whenever there's one of those short solos that Lindsey likes to tuck in at the ends of songs, such as in IKINW and Peacekeeper, Lindsey was definitely playing those.
