When I saw them in 1998 (or 99?) they were doing songs requested by fans through the Internet. Hey, they added Gimme Shelter to the regular setlist because it was always being requested. I believe the night I saw them, they played Factory Girl! Think about that! Factory Girl. That had to come from some diehard fans.
Fleetwood Mac needs spontaneity and stage courage.

this past tour and it was indeed a show with lots of spontaneity, And the opening act was Ryan Adams (Who most of the OKC crowd did not seem to know when he first took the stage but was giving him a standing ovation when he finished his set by tossing his guitar high in the air and letting it splat the ground. No thank yous for the audience from Mr.Adams & band in a very punkish way...A Very rocking set!)
I liked how the Stones chose a specific album each night to highight from their careers (ON Jan.28,2003 it was "Exile On Main Street"...Loved hearing "Sweet Virginia", "Loving Cup" & "Rocks Off" live! I was personally disappointed though that "Gimme Shelter" was skipped on this night, But in favor of the Dylan classic "Like A Rolling Stone" it was a fair tradeoff) wished the Mac could/would do the same with highlighting a specfic album (Wait, they do..."Rumours" every night, How could I forget, LOL!!!).
Definitely a great show for the $56.25 I paid for my ticket the day of the show (My ticket was in the $150 section even though the price was reduced). Btw the Stones merchandise was much cheaper and of a better quality overall than FM's...
