I'm an only child too, so I understand COMPLETELY.

There is NOTHING more difficult for an only child than to have your parents split/divorce because they both want you on THEIR side. SUCKS.

My parents are married still but they constantly put me in the middle of EVERYTHING or fight with me just for the sake of fighting when they can no longer take jabs at one another. That's why I tend to just stay out of the house or stay away from them
